We engage in regular discussion with the most appropriate ministers, diplomatic and donor representatives and senior government officials, and provide frequent opportunities for members to meet important people relevant to their interests. Specific advice is available to members on their individual business issues at the Association's offices in London and Nairobi, and with our representatives in Kampala, Dar-es-Salaam, Kigali and Addis Ababa.
Regular meetings are held in these cities which provide a platform for Ministers, High Commissioners and others to address our membership and for members themselves to network with each other. The Association also circulates regular newsletters to the Membership on topical political and economic developments in the region, providing a unique insider perspective unavailable elsewhere.
The Association seeks to promote trade and investment in the region by organising members missions and has, in the past, been involved with investment conferences.
Through its links with the European Business Council for Africa and the Mediterranean, the Association maintains contact with the European Commission and various other EU institutions, as well as comparable private sector organisations in Europe. It is also a founding member of the influential Business Council for Africa UK, which includes our affiliated organisations in Southern and Western Africa.
